Sonar Ecology® based in Hertfordshire, is one of the UK’s leading specialist ecological consultancies in thermal imaging and thermal drone wildlife surveys across the South East of England.
We specialise in thermal imaging and thermal drone surveys, delivering innovative, accurate and efficient survey solutions for protected species. Combining over 25 years of ecological expertise with advanced thermal technology, we help clients make informed planning, conservation and land management decisions while minimising disturbance to wildlife.
Our services include thermal surveys for bats, badgers, deer, beavers, nesting birds and other protected species, together with traditional ecological surveys where required. Thermal drone technology enables us to survey large complex or inaccessible sites safely, efficiently and with increased accuracy.
Sonar Ecology’s Director, Dr Liat Fernando (nee Wicks) BSc MSc CEcol MCIEEM, is a Chartered Ecologist with over 20 years experience in ecological consultancy, protected species licensing and the application of thermal imaging within ecological surveys.
